Best Selling Author, Scott Turow
Please join us on June 3, 2020, at the Union League Club for dinner and a presentation by best-selling author and club member Scott Turow in conversation with award winning novelist and Illinois Appellate Court Justice, David Ellis.
Scott Turow is the author of eleven bestselling works of fiction, including Identical, Innocent, Presumed Innocent, and The Burden of Proof, and two nonfiction books, including One L, about his experience as a law student. His books have been translated into more than forty languages, sold more than thirty million copies worldwide, and have been adapted into movies and television projects. He has frequently contributed essays and op-ed pieces to publications such as the New York Times, Washington Post, Vanity Fair, The New Yorker, and The Atlantic. His most recent work, The Last Trial, which recounts the final case of Kindle County’s most revered courtroom advocate, Sandy Stern, goes on sale May 12, 2020.
Members will be able to purchase The Last Trial as well as other works by Scott Turow from a vendor throughout the evening and he will be available after the dinner and program to sign copies of his books.
The Club will also conduct its annual meeting at this event.
