POLITICO’s Shia Kapos on the 2022 Illinois Election
The Lawyers Club of Chicago is delighted to welcome POLITICO reporter Shia Kapos to discuss the recent election results in Illinois following the upcoming November 8th election.
Shia is a politics reporter for POLITICO and author of POLITICO’s daily Illinois Playbook. She comes to the position after a career covering various areas of power, policy, and personalities. Prior to joining POLITICO, she wrote the popular Taking Names column for the Chicago Sun-Times (and before that Crain’s Business). Her focus was on big names in Chicago business and what they did away from the office, including an exclusive report on then-CEO JB Pritzker planning a run for governor.
Shia also has had stints covering ESG (environmental, social, and governance) investing at Dealreporter.com and editing political news for the Salt Lake Tribune. Early in her career, she was a copy editor for Matthew Bender, the legal publisher. She edited legal publications written by lawyers about energy and the environment.
