President’s Letter: 2023-2024

President’s Letter: 2023-2024

Greetings Members of the Lawyers Club of Chicago!

I am enthusiastically writing this letter to you at the start of our 2023-24 bar year to inform you that we are planning a wonderful programming schedule for our upcoming events.

We proudly hosted several amazing speakers including, U.S. Circuit Judge Michael Y. Scudder of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, Professor Cathy J. Cohen from the University of Chicago, Dean Nikki Booth of the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Law and Shia Kapos, political journalist with Politico.

The membership dues have remained the same at $200 for Active Members and $100 for Senior Members and Young Lawyers.

Included in this letter is a dues renewal notice which includes instructions on renewing your membership, which can easily be done through our website. The Club relies on member dues to defray the administrative expenses that we incur in operating the Club, including the cost of our website, payments platform, and administrative support. The Club would not be able to do what it does without the financial support for members, like you. Thank you in advance for promptly renewing your membership. If you enjoy the fellowship and the informative speakers at our events, please invite a friend or family member to attend an event with you or to apply for membership.

It is a privilege to serve as your President this year, and I look forward to seeing you at our events. As always, if you have any suggestions for speakers or any other matter, please email us at

Thank you for your continued membership, and we look forward to seeing you soon.

Judge Nichole C. Patton
