Daniel Cotter, Author of The Chief Justices
On January 16th, Chief Justice John Roberts became only the third American sworn to preside over a presidential impeachment trial. This is a unique role for someone who has already taken his place in history by filling the center chair in the Nation’s highest court.
Join us on February 20th for lunch at the Union League Club when Danial Cotter discusses the current Chief Justice as well as the other 16 men that have taken on this role.
Daniel Cotter is a member of the Lawyers Club of Chicago and practices corporate, transactional, privacy, and insurance regulatory law. He is past president of the Chicago Bar Association and adjunct professor at the John Marshall Law School, where he teaches the course SCOTUS Judicial Biography. He is a frequent writer about the Constitution, our nation’s founding, and the Supreme Court. His first book, The Chief Justices, was published last year.
