Honorable Charles S. Beach II, Chief Judge

Join us for a lunchtime program on June 16, 2026, when the Honorable Charles Beach, Chief Judge, Circuit Court of Cook County engages with Justice Jesse G. Reyes in an informal conversation on a range of topics that attendees will find to be informative and thought provoking.

Chief Judge Beach has served on the Circuit Court of Cook County since he was appointed to the bench by the Illinois Supreme Court in 2017. He has supervised both the Traffic and Pretrial Divisions. On September 10, 2025, Beach was elected Chief Judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County by his fellow circuit judges. Throughout his career, he has earned a reputation for fairness, efficiency and advocacy for access to justice. He holds a B.S. in Finance and Insurance from Michigan State University and a J.D. from DePaul College of Law.

Justice Jesse G. Reyes received his B.A. degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago and his J.D. degree from UIC Law (previously, the John Marshall Law School). He has been a member of the judiciary since December 1997, serving both as an associate and elected judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County. Justice Reyes was elected to the Appellate Court in November 2012.

Seating for this special event is limited. Tickets are $65.00 for members and $70.00 for non-members.

Annual Meeting

The Lawyers Club of Chicago will hold its annual meeting to elect the 2026-2027 officers and directors immediately following the presentation with Chief Judge Beach and Justice Reyes.

OFFICERS. The Board recommends and nominates the following individuals for Club officer positions for the 2026-2027 program year:

President: Maureen Mullen
Secretary-Treasurer: Steven Holtkamp

DIRECTORS. Directors are elected to two-year terms every other year. The Board seats held by Maureen Mullen, Rowe Snyder, Justice Jesse G. Reyes, Naderh Elrabadi, and Professor Ann Lousin are not up for election this year, and these members will continue to serve on the Board during the 2026-2027 program year.

The Board recommends and nominates the following three directors for re-election:
