
The Russia-Ukraine War: “A Ukrainian Lawyer’s Experience” A Conversation with Attorney Lana Sinichkina
As we mark the one-year anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Ukrainian lawyer Lana Sinichkina will speak to Club members by Zoom from her home in Kyiv, recounting her and her family’s experiences as the war began and what it is like to continue to practice commercial law and raise a family in the face of Russian missile attacks, power cuts, and the dislocation of colleagues, clients, family, and friends.
Ms. Sinichkina is a partner at Arzinger, a firm headquartered in Kyiv, and is the head of Arzinger’s life sciences & healthcare, food & beverage, antitrust & competition, and public procurement practice groups, as well as co-head of the anti-corruption compliance and business ethics practices. Prior to joining Arzinger, she was employed at JurService Consulting Company. She also worked at the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine. Ms. Sinichkina headed the foreign trade and litigation support department at Nemiroff and was Managing Partner at Lukowisc Swierzewskiy & Partners (Ukrainian Office). She also headed the legal department at GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Ukraine and GlaxoSmithKline Consumers Healthcare Ukraine.
